Pearson Vue Trick was WRONG!!!!!!!

I was crying so much after doing the pearson vue trick. I followed every direction on how to obtain it. I made sure my status said DELIVERY IS SUCCESSFUL. It went through the credit card page. I tried it so many times. I made sure AGAIN that my status said delivery is successful. and AGAIN, it went to the credit card page. I thought I failed.

HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the quick results and I passedddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

try nine days! My name still is not on the BON after ten day :-(

Hello, new to All Nurses but I just want to relay my Pearsonvue "trick" experience in Florida. I can say that from my experience, it is 100% accurate in Florida. Everyone I know used it and it was dead on accurate. My test shut off at 75 questions, I checked Pearsovue that night and it gave me the "pop up" and wouldn't allow me to register. Also - DO NOT PAY for the 2 day confirmation. Its approximately $7. However, the day following my NCLEX exam I was able to log onto the State Board and see that my license was issued. Therefore there was no reason to pay for this "confirmation". I can only speak for nurse candidates Florida not for other states.
I agree with you. If you got the good pop-up, let that ease your anxiety until you get your license # on the BON website. Don't pay for the quick results. I was still nervous/anxious because my # wasn't posted yet and gave in and bought the quick results. It took like 2 days for my # to be posted on the BON website. You got the good pop up? Take a breather, you passed lol. Patience is the key!!!

Took my NCLEX-RN yesterday.. The Pearson Vue trick says I failed. I am hoping it's wrong!

Hi everyone.

I got my ATT on Wed, June 19. Took a leap and scheduled the exam the very next day-- Thur, June 20. Let me tell you, I was a nervous wreck; couldn't sleep the whole night, had not appetite.

I went the entire distance on that test-- did 265 questions and over 4 hours.

Thought for certain when leaving that place that I had failed. It was HORRIBLE. I even know for a fact that I got the very last question wrong, because I had heard the rumor that if you get 265 questions and miss the last one, you fail but if you get it right you pass. That is not necessarily true. Like I said, I know I got it wrong because after the test I went home and researched it. I remembered that question well for that very reason.

I got home 2 hours later, did the PVT trick. I got the good pop up that says "You recently scheduled for this exam, please contact your member board for assitance. This exam cannot be rescheduled at this time." (not verbatim)

I kept checking the website to do the trick literally like 30 times a day, and it always came back. This gave me a lot of comfort, because having done a lot of research on this pvt, I was pretty certain it is 100% accurate or close to it.

Just now, about 49 hours after I started the exam, my quick results became available. I PASSED!!!!

So, if you are suffering traumatic distress over this exam like I was, let my testimony be some solace. I believe firmly it works. If you get the good pop, you passed. If you go to the cc page, there is a small possibility you still passed. You can get a false neg but you wont get a false positive.

And, yes, the NCLEX tested on almost nothing that I learned in nursing school. It's true, you will feel like EVERY question is basically a guessing game between at least 2 choices.

What state did you take NCLEX in?

My understanding of the "last question" rule (if you go all the way to 265) is that it doesn't matter if you got it right or wrong, it's whether or not the question itself was at or above passing level. So even if you got that question wrong, it obviously was considered an advanced, critical thinking question, because you made it!

Hi fellow nurses-

Just took the NCLEX today and had about 170+ questions before it shut off on me. I tried PVT about two and a half hours later and it took me to the CC page. I'm seeing mixed reviews on here about PVT working and for some it not being true (getting to the CC page but they passed), and it's probably the only shred of optimism I have for me passing...I feel absolutely horrible like somebody ripped my heart out and stomped on it. I have not been able to stop crying since I got home and tried PVT. I know my chances of passing are probably slim to none at this point if I am at the CC page.

I used Kaplan for prep, and I will not do it again. I don't really feel as though what they taught in the course was really helpful for me today. I am going to be getting my refund for sure if it winds up being that I failed. I can't see myself having to sit through it a second time, because obviously it didn't work the first time. Will probably use Saunders, Lippincott, and other random NCLEX things I find...

Fingers crossed I'm in the 1% that the PVT didn't work for...

Took my NCLEX RN yesterday morning at 8:00 am. Did the pearson vue trick- went to cc page. No official results, but I'm positive I failed. Maybe nursing isn't where I should be working. SO discouraged and disgusted with myself. I'm an incompetent loser. No way am I doing this again. Studying is not worth it- I need to move on with my life.

@Madeline:
Don't despair!!! Stop stop stop with the self loathing!!! PLEASE! You made it through nursing school! FREAKING NURSING SCHOOL! You have put yourself through WAY too much to doubt your awesomeness now, especially over a single test that you can RETAKE! The only way you'll have failed is if you don't try again!

You're in the grieving stage right now, and I respect that. But please, I beg you, reschedule that sucker. Get your study aids (I recommend Kaplan, FWIW) and get back on that horse.

You can do this!

Took my exam yesterday and cane home to immediately check the PVT. At first I got the pop up stating my results were on hold. An hour or two later I went through to the cc page. I'm not completely heart broken yet bc I know there is still a chance that I passed. I was one of the top students in my classes, Signa Theta Tau. I can't imagine not having passed.
Today I went to the BON website to re-register for application for licensure but received an error that I was already in the system and unable to register. I'm hoping this is a good sign.

Anyone else make it to cc page and still pass? Or get the same error message on the BON website?
Quick results aren't available until tomorrow so my wonderful boyfriend blow dried my hair for me this morning (so sweet! he was terrible at it but just the fact that he wanted to pamper me was so perfect). He is taking me out on a fancy date to keep my mind off it.

You are in NO WAY a loser and never let a TEST define you. Testing anxiety is real. Its horrible but you can do this.

I have been reading all of these comments and I thought I'd drop my two cents in. I took the NCLEX yesterday and in Wisconsin I got an email from the board today saying I passed. I did the Pearson Vue trick twice yesterday and it worked for me. Take it as you will. Maybe some people got stuck in a glitch or maybe it doesn't work at all. In Wisconsin you can also look up a professional license and see your application status to be sure you really passed. Unfortunately it is only updated on Wednesdays so I won't appear there until next week.

Hope this helps.

I wasn't sure how I did because it shut off after 75 questions and it only took me 91 minutes.

ATI reps told us in school that they look at the last 60 questions if you go all the way and see if you were above the passing line

I really hope it is wrong. I took the nclex today and I got timed out about 90-100 questions. I tried the Pvt and it led me to the cc page. so now I'm really depressed. I might lose my residency at this point.

i got the CC page too and I am one of the top in my program...:/

I'll know for sure tomorrow, but I haven't stopped crying for the past day. I've never been so sad.

did you find out if you've passed? i tested on june 26 and tried the pvt trick and took me to the cc page. I dont know how i could have failed this time around (2ND time test taker). I studied so hard and my comp. shut off at 190 questions.

i failed and the pvt trick too me to the cc page.

So I got my quick results and I did fail...so unbelievably heartbroken but I will not give up...
Anyone know what NJ's timeframe is for retesting? Already posted this on the NJ board but no answer as of yet...

NJ is 90 day wait before you can schedule a retest. You can apply to BoN for new ATT but it won't be issued until 90 day wait is up

what about PA? I would rather get it done sooner than 90 days, and was planning to get my PA license anyway...maybe I will switch and apply for them

Please don't feel that way. It is one test that does not define your competency. As a matter of fact, NCSBN is trying to incorporate test anxiety into their algorithm to compensate for high level candidates. Seriously, it's on their site. I guarantee if you want it, you will get it and be great. Don't give up. God bless.

Philly is 45 days

@BriManRN I'm assuming I would have to live in PA to apply for my PA license by examination, because NJ would technically be my home state license...

The trick works! Just got my license number on the BRN website and got the good pop up two days ago.

Well still no official answer for me. I checked Pearson Vue and I still can't purchase the quick results. I check on the BON website and my GN license is gone and it was there yesterday when I took the test and after. I looked for a RN license and it wasn't there so things are getting more bleak for me.....

How many questions did you get timed out at?

You won't have access to quick results until the 48 hour mark which is tomorrow if you took the exam yesterday.

I took my test on 25th in VA, but my home state is CA, had 75 questions, PV trick gave me a positive popup window, CA BRN says up to 4 weeks till get results, some classmates who took same day as me and even 1 day after got their license number already, but all their names start with same letter, many are still waiting even those who took earlier than me. It is very frustrating and nerve wrecking. I hope I get a good result on BRN soon

@JustBeachyNurse just want to let you know I received an email from the NJ BON today, and it is only 45 days to retest in NJ. I'm not sure where you got your information, but this came from the state itself...

You need to surround yourself with positive people-your self esteem is incredibly LOW. Didn't you graduate an accredited nursing school? Yeah. I watched tons of smart, competent people drop from the program because they didn't have what it took. So stop whining and finish what you started! Reschedule it and pass it!

any one help, im so ****** right now i would have pass the test cuz i got confuse when they ask for will reinforce i thought they are asking for the wrong answer so i did the pearson view trick n i was able to register im somad right now that imost likely failed so tomorow is my result day hopefully ill pass but i doudbt it. anysuggestion

funny thing i got all 205 question and the question seems the same n it was questionabout everything omg, im so ****** im gona fail, now i got to find another 200$ to register again

How many questions did you have? Did you do any review courses?

I took mine on Sat. the 29th and can't get quick results because I am in CA.....got the good pop up? Does this mean I have to wait for the letter to come in the mail? Or can I get unofficial results?

You can actually check the California Board of Registered Nursing website to see if they have posted up your license. If your license is posted that means you passed!

Go to Board of Registered Nursing
Then, go to Online Services all the way to the right on the menu.
Click Permanent License Verification, and then 'Click to Verify License'
And then search up your name, and if your name is there then that means your license is posted!
You can click on your name for more details if it shows up!

Hope that helps!

P.S. it should take up to 2-5 days for the results to show up but since you took it on the 29th, it should be up already if you passed. I took mine on July 1st and I got mine this morning!

Okay, took the test on June 11th, 2013. Got 265 questions. Did the PVT, went straight to the CC. Final result...FAILED.

If anyone else has had this happen...this is another way to know if you passed or failed. If your GN Permit is gone and you have no license. You failed. (In Texas)

Hi, when did you take the exam, is it true that you got the cc info and passed the exam? Please reply to this message cz i got the bad popup and really afraid that failed this exam.thank you

People get confused about the pop up because there is more than one pop up. When you do the PVT one of three things can happen.

1) pop up saying "...contact your member board..." means you passed

2) pop up saying something about results still processing and nothing about contacting your member board does not mean you failed or passed. It means you need to check back later.

3) it allows you to enter credit card info and you might need to retake the exam. Check with the board because this can be a false negative.

Read your pop up carefully and don't just assume that it didn't ask for credit card info so you passed.

newgrad16, what are you using for your new study plan?
So Kaplan won't refund the amount since it was integrated into our program. After doing some research and asking around I broke down each section by percentage from Greatest to Least starting with Management of Care and ending with Basic Care and Comfort. I will be doing 1 section a week pretty much. Here are the resources I am using:

1. Kaplan: Review of Questions Videos, Q-banks, Readiness Test, Trainers 1-7 (for endurance)
2. Saunders 5 Edition Comprehensive Review to look things up I need better clarification on (it's very thorough and it beats looking up things in my Fundamentals and Med Surg Books-plus Saunders cites my textbooks)
3. Saunders Q and A Review (solidify basics and build confidence- I have caught some content errors so be careful. The question I caught was the order of removal of PPE)
4. Exam Cram (250 questions is a lot so I'm building by endurance and doing 150, 175, 225 each week and the remainder of questions I use another day)
5. PDA by La Charity

I will be taking notes on subjects I need to solidify and review them once a week
Each day I will do AT LEAST 50 questions from one source, but I usually do 100-150. My schedule is for 54 days of prep. I better pass this test and I hope this helps you!!

How many questions did you have?

I took the Nclex on the March19 and got 265 questions. I was so sad, depressed and tried the PV trick, it came up with the good pop u and I said, this is a joke and this trick doesn't not work.. On March 20, I happened to log on to my gmail at the end of the end and I found the letter for MA Nursing, saying CONGRATULATIONS and attached is a letter with your nursing #.. I was still under shock and wait on the quick result the next day and it said, PASSED.. so, the trick, works and I wish, I believe it the 100x I tried to register to reschedule my test... Good luck to everyone that is still in the process of taking the NCLEX and have faith that you'll pass too....

Took my RN exam this morning, I had 75 questions...... Tried the Pearson vue trick and it goes st8 to the cc page. Am worried sick. Ya'al pray for me

Thank you GB.... 'twas good.... Still up not sleeping tonight......

. I took the PN four times. No I'm not a slow learner in fact I was top of class. But I have high testing anxiety. Every time I failed I did the Pearson vue trick and did not get the "pop up" talk about feeling like a failure. It went straight to the cc page. Many of nights turned to months turned too years. But I wouldn't give up I had to fight. This was my dream and no one else's. I wasn't in it for the money but for the feeling of honor to take care of the sick. I went back to the drawing board. Pulled myself out of the gutter.looked to family for encouragement always having that monkey on my back.when I did take the first three test I took the full five hours 205 questions. Today I took it took it gain. It shut of at 85 questions and I went did the Pearson vue trick. Finally the "good pop up" I still do not have the official status but I will post it as soon as I get it. I live in texas. If I failed, i'll try it again. Don't EVER let a computer test tell you your not good enough to be a nurse. Fight it. Prove it wrong. Be strong .

Good for you!!!congratulations

mamacita2, please email me @ [email protected] if you have time. I really need to know if you truly went to the CC page and passed. I took 75 questions today, and it cut off. It's taking me to the credit card page though, and I just can't believe I would fail in 75 questions with the types of questions I had. Please be honest and please help. I see a later post of yours says you're working as a CNA. If you passed NCLEX, why are you still working as a CNA? Just looking for some hope that maybe the trick was wrong for me too. HELP!
